Our effort to make aquarists aware of endangered northern platyfish continues. Several articles were published and the XNP project has been also presented in following magazines: Akvárium 41 (Czech Republic), Akvárium Magazin 3/2018 (Hungary), Le Vivipare 136 (France), Aquaristik Fachmagazin 268 (Germany).
Species overviews with some interesting bits of information were published in Nieuwsbrief Aquariumvereniging Black Molly May/2019 (Netherlands) and Akvárium 38 (Czech Republic).
Current status of biotopes of northern platyfish can be seen in Aquaristik Fachmagazin 266 (Germany). Detailed reports from our visit to Mexico in February 2018 were published in Akvárium 41, 42, 43, 44, 45. Here you can find a lot of photos and information about the current status of the biotopes for each species of northern platyfish separately. This magazine is available online here: http://e-akvarium.cz
We hope not only to make the XNP project known and accepted by a broader audience, but our goal is to make aquarists aware of their ability to preserve species in home aquariums. There is a lot of fish species at risk of extinction. But there is also a lot of fishkeepers :-)!
